Meet the REBEL Family: Elation's Fully-Featured Fixtures Disrupting The Market
A fixture earns its place in inventory by how many different gigs it can cover. One weekend it is in a ballroom or theatre, the next it is on a festival stage, a corporate show, or part of a much larger production. For production companies, that versatility can translate directly into ROI. The same inventory can move between rooms, applications, and production scales without asking crews to relearn the rig every time. For designers and programmers, that translates to less time navigating an unfamiliar fixture profile and more time dialing in looks.
That is where Elation Lighting’s REBEL family starts to make a lot of sense. The lineup has quickly grown to include a framing profile, a high-speed beam FX mover, linear tilt bars, and two sizes of wash. More importantly, Elation has built them around a shared ecosystem of color, control, weather protection, and workflow features. Instead of a collection of individual fixtures, REBEL feels like a scalable toolkit designed to work together and move wherever the next production takes it. We dug through the entire family to see what carries across the lineup, where each fixture fits, and which members of REBEL stand out.
Elation REBEL Series: Shared Features Across the Family
The pitch across the whole family REBEL family is consistency. These are full-featured fixtures that share the DNA that matters when you are prepping a rig.
The Wash and Line fixtures run on the same 60W RGBL LED engines, which means calibrated color temperature control, a virtual gel swatch book, and color that matches across fixture types without tweaking values at the console. The Dartz brings its own RBL engine with a True Green filter to the party, and the Profile takes the classic route with CMY mixing over a high-output white LED engine.
Every fixture in the family is built for the elements, with ratings from IP55 on the Line bars to IP65 on everything else. Festival rigs, outdoor corporate events, and exposed truss positions are all fair game without domes or covers.
On the control side, the whole family speaks DMX, RDM, Art-Net, sACN and NFC configuration. The NFC piece is one of our favorite prep-room features on any modern fixture: tap your phone to the fixture and manage settings while it is still in the case, powered completely off. Addressing a truck full of fixtures before a single cable comes out is a workflow win every technician will appreciate.
And because this is Elation, the family is backed by the company's service and support infrastructure, with dedicated parts and service pages, user forums, and published firmware updates for each fixture. When a fixture is destined for years of nightly duty, that backing matters as much as anything on the spec sheet.
Elation REBEL Profile: IP65 LED Framing Moving Head
The REBEL Profile is the flagship of the family: a full framing profile in a compact IP65 package. A peak field 600W 6,500K LED engine pushes up to 22,000 lumens through a wide 3.5 to 51 degree zoom, with CRI 70+ out of the box and 80 or 90 via dual high CRI filters on the color wheel.
The framing system is the headline: 4 rotating full blackout framing blades with plus or minus 60 degrees of framing module index. That is real shutter-cut capability in a compact package, and it opens the Profile up to theatre, broadcast, and corporate work where precise cuts are non-negotiable.
The graphics package is stacked. CMY color mixing with variable CTO, a 7-position color wheel, two gobo wheels carrying 7 rotating and 8 static glass gobos, a full 360 degree bi-directional animation wheel, dual rotating prisms, dual variable frosts, and a motorized iris with pulse effects. This is a fixture that can carry a show on its own.
REBEL Dartz: The DARTZ 360 Successor Goes IP65
The REBEL Dartz is the long-awaited update to the community-favorite DARTZ 360, and it channels the REBEL attitude into a compact, high-impact beam mover. An ultra-narrow 1.5 degree beam that hits 125,475 lux at 5 meters, sharp enough to carve the air and punchy enough to cut through dense haze.
Elation says it is four times brighter than the original DARTZ 360, with more gobos and an IP65 housing the original never had. Continuous 360 degree pan and tilt rotation is here too, and it is wicked fast, which is exactly what you want from a fixture whose whole job is kinetic energy. Dual independent stacking prisms, a heavy frost, dual gobo wheels, and variable CCT from 3200K to 16000K round out a deep effects package in a 35 pound fixture.
REBEL Wash: Compact RGBL Wash Moving Heads
The REBEL Wash comes in two sizes, the REBEL Wash 4 with 4 of the 60W RGBL emitters and the REBEL Wash 12 with 12 of them pushing up to 14,000 lumens.
The zoom runs 5 to 40 degrees, and continuous 360 degree pan and tilt rotation gives you the same unbound movement as the Dartz, and yes, it is also wicked fast. Pixel control is onboard for effects work, or you can run the fixture as a single uniform source when the design calls for clean stage cover. Calibrated color temperature control from 2400K to 8500K and a CRI north of 83 on the Wash 12 mean it handles key light duties as comfortably as saturated looks. Both sizes are fully sealed IP65 fixtures.
REBEL Line 8 & 16: Pixel Bars with RGBL and SparkX
The REBEL Line 8 and REBEL Line 16 are the linear tilt effect of the family, available in 8-cell and 16-cell lengths. Each cell is a 60W RGBL LED backed by CW SparkX pixels, cool-white emitters that fire crisp crossing beams through the main lenses for dimensional texture on top of the color engine. The Line 16 pushes 25,355 total lumens from its 16 RGBL engines and 32 SparkX pixels.
A motorized zoom runs from a 4 degree curtain that reads as a solid wall of light to a 35 degree wash, driven by fast 210 degree tilt movement. A built-in mechanical alignment system locks Line 8 and Line 16 units together into continuous runs, so you can build seamless beams and high-resolution pixel arrays at whatever scale the design calls for. The bars carry an IP55 rating, which covers the outdoor stages and festival slots where linear fixtures earn their keep.

We think the Dartz will grab the early attention because the DARTZ 360 already had a fanbase, but the sleeper here might be the Profile. Real blackout framing, glass gobos, an animation wheel, and IP65 in a 66 pound fixture is a combination we are used to seeing much higher up a manufacturer's catalog.
The REBEL family is Elation building one coherent toolkit for the rooms where most of this industry actually works. A framing profile, a beam FX mover, linear bars, and two washes that share protocols, wireless management, NFC prep workflow, weather protection, and a consistent color story across the RGBL fixtures. For production companies building versatile inventory, that consistency is the whole point. You learn the family once and it behaves the same way across the entire rig.
