CONSOLE TRAINING

Avolites (Link is in the title)

Avolites is hosting online training sessions March 23- March 27 on Titan.


High End Systems launched “Hedgeucation” an IGTV series covering Hog 4 “software and desk features.” On their website you can download materials to have as they go through each topic.


MA University is a free online learning program available to you if you contact your MA distributor. There are contact options to help you find them on their website! ACT Academy is also free with the promo code: ACT4ME until June 1, 2020.


ChamSys MagicQ and QuickQ softwares are both free and available on the ChamSys website. They also have a free video catalog of training videos covering beginning to advanced topics. ChamSys is also hosting a competition with their MagicVis software through April 10, and the winner gets a free MagicQ MQ70 Console!


Strand posted on Facebook: “Anyone that wants Strand console online training, you can go to our website and send a request for online training. All normal online training costs have been waved for the next few weeks.”

ETC has announced that now through May 15 their entire catalog of LearningStage classes are free and they will add more resources in the coming weeks. Simply put, LearningStage is awesome. From online programming training to lessons on DMX theory, there are infinite opportunities to grow and learn.


Obsidian Controls is hosting free weekly online training sessions covering the ONYX control platform and new NETRON data distribution range, available to everyone globally.


PRG x76

You can watch the entire training video catalog for the x76 series on PRG’s website starting with beginner topics and into advanced programming.


LASERS

Pangolin is taking the lead for laser education with an in-depth blog (link in their bio) and plans to post Quick Hints, setup, and safety videos in the coming weeks. Pangolin is also hosting awesome live streams, follow their social channels for dates and times!


X Laser is also posting educational videos covering topics on how lasers work and more. They are also live streaming laser shows at 6pm Friday March 20 for you to relax, and enjoy.


MEDIA SERVER / VIDEO TRAINING

Avolites is hosting online training sessions March 23- March 27 on AI.


Green Hippo is offering free online webinars, called Pause and Practice, every weekday covering topics for users of all experience level.Seminar topics are Hippotizer, SHAPE, and Hippotizer Dive Deep. Register on their website!


PRG’s website also offers video training for their media server software, Mbox, that covers basics to advanced programming.


Resolume is a tool for live VJ-ing and audiovisual performances. You can learn the software for free online on their website with training videos. Resolume is worth learning and the entire crash course is only a few hours. We think you should take a look.


AUDIO

The Shure Audio Institute provides audio professionals with up-to-date technical insights and training with online learning and webinars


If you have a .edu email address you can get free use of the Q Lab 4 Pro Bundle until June 1 for at home learning.


Has been hosting online “Soundvision Design Solutions” webinars daily and they include Q&A sessions and wide variety of topics. Expect webinars ranging multiple topics, including L-ISA, line source optimization, AVB, and P1/M1


Schools can apply for temporary licenses in order to remotely teach for the next 90 days.

AVIXA, or the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association (AKA the force behind InfoComm), has made their entire online learning catalog open to everyone until June 12. All online training is available regardless of your membership level. If you haven’t heard of AVIXA, now is the time. Register on their website and jump in.


USITT has made their entire online catalog available, to its members, for free. They also have announced they will be posting free education content soon!


John Huntington, author of the book Show Networks and Control Systems, goes through his book chapter by chapter in videos on his website and dives into even deeper topics. This book is a must read and the authors additional commentary is invaluable.


Christian Jackson is always up to something, and it is always cool. His uploads include topics ranging from programming how-to's to documenting life on the road. He has an “Everything MA2 Live Stream” scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2020 @ 10am PST


Touch Designer has online courses, books, and tutorials available to help you master the powerful software more and more professionals are using.

The Virt Theatre is an online 3D set design tool. They have made the online teaching license free for the next 90 days.


Live Design

Live Design, the force behind LDI, is continuing to host webinars on all sorts of topics and continue posting industry news on their website.


TPI Magazine is always publishing content for the live event industry and is also reposting current trainings available to users. TPI has an app with every one of their past editions available for you. It is the treasure chest of quarantine reading.


PLSN has a huge archive of articles and reviews online. They also have an app with all of their content available to you.


Spiral Stage Lighting is a YouTube Channel featuring different lighting topics.


Rosco Spectrum is a blog from your favorite color experts and they are always discussing how creatives in our industry are using color in the most brilliant ways.


Mike Wood has quite the chops when it comes to stage lighting. He is hosting weekly webinars covering several topics. Check out the link for more. He also hosts a weekly hangout each Wednesday at 8pm EST on ZOOM and it is BYOB.
